The Practical Nurse program at Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) offers a comprehensive two-year curriculum designed to prepare students for registration as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Graduates are eligible to take the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE) and can pursue various career opportunities within the Canadian healthcare system. Approved by the Education Standards Advisory Committee with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), this program ensures a high standard of education and professional readiness.

The program combines on-campus courses at NWP with clinical placements in healthcare agencies near the campus locations. These placements may include evening, night, and weekend shifts.
