What are the requirements to participate in this program?

You must be over the age of 18 and speak fluent English. You should have a good level of physical fitness. You'll need to have a high level of motivation and enjoy working in a team.

How do I get to the project site?

You will need to book a flight to Calgary International Airport (YYC). It is a 1.5-hour drive north of the project site. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the ranch.

What will be my main tasks?

Duties will vary but may include: Feeding, handling, and grooming the horses Looking after the smaller animals Cleaning and building work Administrative tasks

What kind of accommodation is available?

You will live in a small guesthouse on the ranch with other volunteers. Bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen are shared.

Travel to Canada, where you'll become part of a dedicated team of animal welfare activists and help care for formerly farm horses and other animals on a beautiful ranch in Alberta. After you arrive at Calgary International Airport, you are picked up and taken to a horse ranch about 1.5 hours away from Calgary – your project location. As a volunteer in this project, you get the chance to actively contribute to animal welfare and, at the same time, explore Canada’s wonderful nature. Become involved in all daily tasks on the ranch.
