You’ll work alongside doctors, nurses, therapists, and other medical professionals. Depending on your medical experience and Spanish language skills, you’ll take on various responsibilities. These could include shadowing a doctor or nurse, assisting with general check-ups, running medical campaigns, assisting with triage and vaccinations, taking vital signs, organizing patient records, and assisting during mealtimes. This program is available all year round, with start dates every Monday. It’s designed to take place for as short as 1 week and up to 1 year. I just wish we did more health/medical related tasks at our placement. I loved working with the Nuns as I am catholic and they were all so nice and wanted to converse. I was able to practice my spanish with them and they were all so sweet. The placement was very clean and all the patients were clean and well groomed.

I did think I would be doing more hands on work but I really enjoyed my placement with the nuns and getting to know them. Everyone was welcoming and made us seem very appreciated!!
