This amazing program in Mwandi village helps the most vulnerable have a safe place to raise their families. A large percentage of the population here live in poorly built mud huts that can't withstand bad weather. During the rainy season, homes get damaged and eventually collapse as the walls and grass roofs give in. 

People don’t have the financial resources and materials to repair or rebuild their homes. Thus, Love Volunteers partners with a Zambian organization to provide housing in the village. The project has completed over 140 homes, providing shelter to over 800 orphans and their caregivers. However, there’s still a long list of families waiting, many of whom care for vulnerable family members—suffering from a disability, grandparents, orphaned grandchildren, or abandoned or neglected by extended families.

Volunteers support our partner organization and the local people in the construction or renovation.
