Africa is rich in art and music. Performing Arts is an integral part of traditional life here, ingrained into the fabric of our societies.  You notice walking through rural communities the sounds of singing, using everyday objects as instruments. Dancing every evening in the streets.

With the Living Music Foundation, Volunteers work alongside respected local musicians, teaching music and learning about East African music and culture.

Volunteers will accompany us to rural communities, women's empowerment centers and orphanages to teach music lessons to those who cannot otherwise access musical training or instruments. 

We believe in the transformative power of music; it uplifts, spreads joy and improves self esteem. Increasing confidence through Performing Arts training can help the underprivileged people we work with find a better, brighter future. 

The Living Music Foundation perform each weekend at traditional weddings and other ceremonies or functions. Volunteers are welcome to attend these interesting events, and even perform on stage with us if desired!

Through our program you will live with a local Ugandan family, experiencing daily life here in the Pearl of Africa.
