Meet local people and build skills within their community that will continue to have a lasting impact long after your placement. 

The Living Music Foundation offers the opportunity to teach music lessons within rural community centers, women's empowerment centers, centers for vulnerable children such as orphanages and at our office in town!

Our aim is to support the people in these groups; often from low income and violent backgrounds, through sharing skills of music, fostering a sense of self worth and esteem within them. We believe musical training has so many positive effects that can contribute to self belief and a brighter future. 

Volunteers will work closely with Ugandan locals, making a lasting positive impact in their lives and having fun along the way! You will be able to lead group trainings, organise performances and watch as the talents and confidence among the group progresses.  

Whilst on our program, you will live with a local family, experiencing daily life in Western Uganda. You'll have the opportunity to go for weekend excursions, such as hiking in the incredible Ugandan hills! Our town of Mbarara is small but social, with plenty of events and things to do.
