Our Summer Cultural Immersion Program offers 10 action-packed days in one of the most dynamic and vibrant cities in the Arab world. Enjoy Lebanese dialect classes on the Beirut campus of Lebanese American University. You also participate in various activities—explore diverse cultural facets through lectures delving into the region's complexities, get in tune with Lebanese music through the traditional folk dance "dabke", and learn the local cuisine through cooking classes. 

Then, take off for experiences across the city and far beyond. Put to use everything you have learned during daily classroom lessons and maximize your learning potential.

The Lebanese Dialect course with one transferable credit focuses on spoken Arabic and improved fluency through description, narration, and argumentation. Practice is crucial to develop confidence in using the language and, with a designated language buddy, you have plenty of opportunities to do just this.
