Istituto Italiano di Fotografia was founded in 1992 by Maurizio Cavalli, photographer and former Director of the photographic department of Istituto Europeo di Design and of Istituto Superiore di Fotografia in Rome. Istituto Italiano di Fotografia is a multifunctional school, a highly innovative and experimental space where photography is seen as an expressive and innovative language. The mission of Istituto Italiano di Fotografia is to provide solid training and artistic sensitivity, and teach contemporary photography languages that allow students-photographers to communicate across cultures, borders and markets.
