Volunteers on the Food Outreach project in Vietnam provide assistance to a local ‘soup kitchen’ to assist in administering up to 300 meals per day to people from various back grounds including low-income earners, disabled, students, children and the elderly. Volunteers are needed for every element of this operation and tasks include food preparation, cooking, serving and cleaning. Volunteers on this project will get to interact with locals daily and by being a part of a team that provides such a basic necessity to those less fortunate, volunteers will have a very rewarding experience.

Highly recommend to anyone wanting to venture out into a new country.
by: Valerie LongstaffProgram: Volunteer in Food Outreach in VietnamI volunteered at a Soup Kitchen. This project taught me lots about the culture, people and country. Proud people that wanted to pay a little just to not feel like they're begging. This location in Ho Ci Minh, feeds 300 plus people daily. It was so rewarding to me. Volunteers from Ho chi Minh, Hong Kong, Canada, USA, Australia and other parts of the world. Made new friends. It was wonderful. I felt safe and was well fed. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to venture out into a new country.

Trust the reviews: meaningful project, well worth the pain!

The impact my volunteering trip had on me was the reinforced desire to continue with IVHQ model and serve communities throughout the world. What I would say to future volunteers is trust the reviews from previous participants. Well thought through support system. In our case, the project is mean...
