Intern Abroad HQ

I had a great laboratory team who were always willing to explain (via Google Translate!) the different tests and experiments they conduct. This internship has greatly enhanced my understanding of the techniques used in clinical laboratories that contribute to the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of disease. I feel more empowered to be successful in my field as I was able to shadow important laboratory techniques in person, thus gaining a higher understanding of how they are carried out and their purpose(s).

During my internship with Intern Abroad HQ I discovered the charm of private art collecting and selling, including doing the marketing for the works and having conversations with people. I now have clearer career goals and a better view of marketing work, which will be helpful to my future career.

What I enjoyed the most about my internship with Intern Abroad HQ and accommodation was that I was truly in the heart of Valencia. I got to explore and see some “tourist” hot spots, but the majority of my stay I was surrounded by locals and got to truly feel the charm of the city. My internship really enhanced my love for medicine and taught me useful practices that I would have never learned in the states. On a person level, I feel that I grew in so many ways and became a more independent and confident version of myself. Thank you InternHQ for allowing me to have this unforgettable experience!
