Interns will assist in providing a wide range of services for adults with intellectual or psychiatric disabilities. Tasks may include assisting with learning programs, activities, and support mechanisms that will encourage independence and a better quality of life. Placements may be residential or in daycare centers, facilitating support groups, or working with various specialized services for those with mental health conditions and disabilities. Interns will assist these agencies in their goal of ensuring that each individual has the opportunity to become a contributing member of the community.
