Spend your summer living and learning in Cape Town, South Africa nestled at the base of Table Mountain. The nearly continuous layer of clouds that gather at the top is known as the table cloth and makes Cape Town's backdrop even more lovely. 

Cape Town lies on the southern tip of Africa and is a prime example of the  juxtaposition that is created between developed and underdeveloped areas merging within the same city. The Summer Health Studies program focuses on South Africa's efforts to provide health care to the poorer rural and urban populations. 

Students interested in a career in the health field can earn six credit hours while witnessing the the issues and efforts to improve health care in South Africa. Students will explore more than the city with a week-long excursion to northern South Africa.
