The Undergraduate Degree in Product Design (240 ECTS) provides future professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to design products bearing in mind the user and their surroundings, ergonomics, social value, technology and the materials needed to create a “good design”. The course covers various fields such as lighting, consumer electronics, wearables, packaging, personal accessories, utensils, furniture, domestic appliances, food, service design and more. It also explores new financial and productive realities such as collaborative consumption, crowdfunding, digital production, rapid prototyping and 3D printing. This course is held in English language and starts each September.

Program Highlights

Students develop project methodology, knowledge of the industry and managerial skills, so as to operate in the most different settings: from interior to product from transportation to service design.

Design in IED is meant as a tool to transform society through: innovation strategies, product development, design of spaces, transportation, sustainability, craftsmanship, food experience.

IED Design students go into the importance of the manufacture process of objects, deal with design method tools, prototyping and innovative materials.
