Working in partnership with a non-profit organization specializing in human rights and legal aid, you'll support primarily vulnerable women and children as they prepare for court trials. Registered lawyers in Malawi will represent these clients in the Supreme Court.

Your Role:
• Become a volunteer or intern, working with certified lawyers. 
• Gain firsthand experience in Malawian law by working directly at a functioning law firm, covering cases in the High Courts and its subsidiaries. 
• Get training on advocacy, counseling, and constitutional law while shadowing experienced attorneys.
• Advocate for local individuals dealing with domestic violence concerns.
• Assist in preparing clients for their court appearances. 
• Help clients comprehend intricate legal issues.
• Aid in settling community disputes, such as those involving land and hereditary family issues. 
• Advocate for women who've experienced domestic or honor-related violence and assault. 

You'll get insights into the legal system and understand community involvement, all while raising human rights awareness.
