The Honduras Child Alliance is a diverse and collaborative, volunteer-powered organization, collectively working to make life better for impoverished children in El Porvenir. Working together to improve the quality of life for both children and adults, we offer educational enrichment and healthful living programs. We welcome volunteers of any nationality, race, religion, or gender. We work together to reinforce basic academic skills while enhancing development of critical thinking and decision-making skills in the children. By fostering positive creative expression in these children, we nourish their confidence and self-esteem. Thanks to donors, sponsors, and like-minded organizations, our programs are provided at no cost to the children or their families.

I knew I wanted to travel, but that I also wanted to do something helpful with my time and not just be a tourist. This led me to volunteering abroad.
