What is the weekly cost?

$230. This includes accommodation, local visits, 3 hours of Arabic classes, daily Palestinian breakfast, day trips, and a certificate of participation.

How long can I participate in the program?

Volunteers can choose to participate in the program for one week up to three months. Whatever duration you choose, we provide support so that you have a great and unique experience at our center and in the wonderful city of Hebron.

Where does the program take place?

It takes place in the heart of Palestine, which is located in the center of the Middle East, in the city of Hebron. Hebron, Al-Khalil in Arabic, is located in the southern part of the West Bank. It is 30 km (19 miles) south of Jerusalem.

Who can apply to the Volunteer in the West Bank program?

Anyone between the ages 18 and 75 can register and participate in our volunteer work or internships.

How do I get a visa to enter Palestine?

Visas are routinely granted upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv) if you are a citizen of an exempted country, or at the Allenby-King Hussein Bridge border crossing.

The Volunteer in the West Bank program offers a unique opportunity to explore Palestine and experience its rich culture firsthand while making a meaningful contribution to the local community. By volunteering with students of all ages and community members, you will have a positive impact on their lives, but you'll also learn from them. You'll have the chance to improve your Arabic skills and gain a deeper understanding of Arabic culture through immersive activities and language classes taught by qualified teachers. As a participant in the program, you'll become part of the Palestinian community and engage in educational, social, and interactive activities that will broaden your horizons and create memories that last a lifetime.

Program Highlights

Have the opportunity to help students improve their conversational English skills through engaging lessons and activities.

Work with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced speakers, and help build their confidence in communicating in English.

Receive three hours of Arabic language lessons per week as part of the program.

Go on day trips to visit refugee camps (included in the program) in Hebron and Bethlehem, as well as other politically significant areas.

Stay in an accommodation, which is arranged throughout the program, either with a Palestinian host family or at our 8th-floor apartment.
