I loved Europe!
by: Mae Feltis - United StatesProgram: EF Gap Semester: 10-Week Programs in Multiple DestinationsOverall, I really enjoyed traveling through Europe on this trip. I got to see so many things that I’ve been dreaming about my whole life. I think having a great tour director made this trip what it was for me. A lot of the activities included in the program were pretty pointless and a waste of money. I don’t think I was really immersed in the cultures in a lot of places we went and the activities did not really educate us that much. While this trip was supposed to be focused on traveling and lea...
My life-changing experience
by: Faith Bainbridge - United StatesProgram: EF Gap Semester: 10-Week Programs in Multiple DestinationsI went on the 10 week semester program with EF gap year. In which we went to four different countries; Costa Rica, the Dominican republic, Peru, and Ecuador. I think that everything about this program was an absolutely wonderful experience. We planted trees, worked on sea turtle and wildlife preservation/restoration. We worked with several different nonprofits throughout each country, in which we were planting mangroves, farming, and working with youth to help them with social, and proffessional...
I loved my gap experience!
by: Kylie Fisher - United StatesProgram: EF Gap Semester: 10-Week Programs in Multiple DestinationsI had the privilege of spending 10 weeks abroad on EF’s Pathfinder program. I went to England, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. I made so many friends that I miss seeing every day already. I had an amazing Tour Director, Keith Adams, and an incredible Student Life Coordinator, Beth Warsof. EF had so many amazing activities planned for us, and some of my favorites include paddle boarding in Barcelona, a guided tour of the Colosseum, a pasta making class in Rome, a hike up...

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I was inspired to work for EF Gap Year because of their incredible reputation, expertise and ingenuity on creating meaningful cultural exchange experiences for young people. I was also drawn to EF Gap Year because they are working to break down the stigma associated with the term "Gap Year" and encourage students to follow their own path, even if that is deviating from societal expectations of what a structured "education" should look like. This is their year. I love how supportive EF is of that mission.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I found myself really drawn to the way EF lives its mission of "Opening the World through Education.” My first trip outside the US was actually a 2-week EF trip to Italy with my school when I was 12 years old, and that trip completely opened my eyes to the world around me.

I have always loved to travel and this opportunity gave me the chance to explore places I have never been before. I also wanted to travel while I was young because I might never get the opportunity to do this again in the future. EF also intrigues me, I love the places they go and what they do.
