A gap year was the best decision for me!
by: Natalie Neltner - United StatesProgram: EF Gap Year: Curated 23-Week Program Multiple DestinationsEF Gap Year allowed me to check off tons of bucket list adventures, meet some of my best friends, and grow in independence, leadership, and confidence. I visited 15 countries in 6 months and experienced so many amazing cultures and activities. I also met some of my best friends and like-minded people. This trip made me more intentional about how I travel and gave me memories I will hold forever.
Can’t find the words to describe it.
by: Libby Bellert - United StatesProgram: EF Gap Semester: 10-Week Programs in Multiple DestinationsThis trip was incredible. I probably experienced every emotion 100 times while I was on Voyager. The activities were amazing and everything was planned great. Of course there were some bumps but I think the support we had helped with everything. I recommend doing this if you want to experience something outside of your comfort zone.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I was inspired to work for EF Gap Year because of their incredible reputation, expertise and ingenuity on creating meaningful cultural exchange experiences for young people. I was also drawn to EF Gap Year because they are working to break down the stigma associated with the term "Gap Year" and encourage students to follow their own path, even if that is deviating from societal expectations of what a structured "education" should look like. This is their year. I love how supportive EF is of that mission.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
I found myself really drawn to the way EF lives its mission of "Opening the World through Education.” My first trip outside the US was actually a 2-week EF trip to Italy with my school when I was 12 years old, and that trip completely opened my eyes to the world around me.

I have always loved to travel and this opportunity gave me the chance to explore places I have never been before. I also wanted to travel while I was young because I might never get the opportunity to do this again in the future. EF also intrigues me, I love the places they go and what they do.
