Established informally in 1994, the Coalition for Work with Psychotrauma and Peace (CWWPP) is a nonprofit organization started by volunteer psychologists, social workers, and doctors focused on helping asylum seekers and refugees in the Netherlands. We have a headquarters in Nieuwe Pekela and an office in Vukovar, Croatia. The idea to form the coalition came from the extreme shortage of individuals with quality skills in mental health, human rights, nonviolent conflict transformation, and communication. Hence, the CWWPP provides courses for peacebuilders and barefoot therapists to lay a foundation of people working in NGOs and other groups.
