Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS), founded in 1903, is a non-profit marine research and education leader dedicated to using science for a healthier planet. Located in Bermuda, an ideal base for studying both coastal and deep-ocean environments, BIOS boasts the longest-running oceanographic data collection (BATS) and sediment-trap program (OFP) in the world.
