Rainforest, Beach, & Cultural Immersion in La Fortuna

The most valuable aspects of the program were developing personal relationships with the homestay family and gaining independence and self-confidence through international travel without parents. This is a very active trip. The less I heard from my child the more I knew she was getting the full benefit of the experience. I heard wonderful feedback about the host family and the chocolate tour, horseback riding and surfing excursion. My daughter will continue to communicate with her Costa Rican family members. Creating these new relationships was her favorite part of the trip. This program was an amazing experience that met our expectations and was an excellent introduction to international travel.

My daughter's homestay family was amazing!!! The Arcos activities were great. It sounded like the kids had a lot of different experiences. It was a wonderful opportunity. I highly recommend Arcos. It is great for high schoolers who really want to embrace another culture and language. The program ran smoothly and was well thought out.

I liked how the classes were divided by level and we did lots of reading. Make yourself comfortable at your homestay right away because your future self will be sad when the program ends and you will miss them. Through this program I became more independent by learning to be comfortable living with a new family. I strongly recommend this program.
