As a volunteer, you'll be making a meaningful impact on Maui, responding to wildfires that started on August 8, 2023. Our program aims to support a community devastated by the fires. Our team is focusing our efforts at the Napili Noho Community Hub on Maui, which supports families and aims to provide long-term support for communities recovering from the wildfires over the next two years. Your efforts will mainly go toward community hubs—small, grassroots initiatives that offer the affected community access to essentials. This includes services like food distribution, non-food item (NFI) distribution, well-being support, and disaster recovery resources throughout Maui. Apply to volunteer today until December 2024!

Being surrounded by kind, loving, like-minded people from around the world who all came together to such a special place is something that you can't put into words. You are camping on a farm, (which may not be for everyone) which keeps you grounded and makes it easy to remember why you're here and what you're here to do. Things are well organized and I feel I had the information I needed before I arrived, and the team made it easy to know what's going on.

I learned different fire mitigation techniques and learned how to use different machines. It was amazing to volunteer in a community that has such a strong culture.
