The people (both staff and volunteers) are a fabulous mix and the local communities are a delight to be a part of. I've volunteered with All Hands & Hearts on three different occasions in three different countries (so far) and have loved every second of my time on site and on base.

From learning new skills, to working with and meeting some of the most amazing and interesting people, to bettering myself as a person - working with AHAH gave me all of this and so much more. I couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone!

My parents live in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. After hearing about the damage and the struggles on the island, I had to give back to my people in their time of need. I decided to volunteer for two weeks and help many in need after Hurricane Maria. I enjoyed my time with the home owners and all the help I was able to provide, thanks to the program.

What inspired you to travel abroad?
The profound sense of community that is gained from being on an All Hands and Hearts project has been the driving factor for my continued work with the organization. On every program that I've been on, I find myself surrounded by the warmest, kindest, most caring individuals.
