Best summer experience!
by: Lizbeth Lopez - United StatesProgram: AIFS Abroad in Barcelona, Spain: SummerI decided I wanted to travel abroad 2 years before actually making it happen. I knew I wanted to travel far away from the States, where I could go on walks in the city and the beach. After doing some research on many abroad programs AIFS seemed like the best option for what I was looking for. AIFS programs had lots of activities included, reasonable program prices depending on locations, and scholarship opportunities for funding. Upon acceptance to my program, the AIFS staff was great at keeping...
Spring Semester in Granada, Spain!
by: Lauren Dahl - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad and Discover the World with AIFS!My semester abroad in Granada, Spain was absolutely unforgettable. I decided to stay with a host family and I lived in their home with another student in the same program. Living with a roommate, we became really close friends. My host family was so kind and welcoming, they included us in everything they did. I learned so much Spanish culture and tradition from spending time with the family. The school was called Center of Modern Languages and I had a mixture of Spanish and Business classes....
Had a great time improving my language skills!
by: Sarah McMurry - United StatesProgram: AIFS Abroad in Berlin, Germany: SummerI really enjoyed the academic rigor associated with this program. I was able to take an intensive German language course as well as a German literature course which really pushed me out of my comfort zone! Berlin is such a unique city to live and study in, and the AIFS team did a great job making sure we were making the most of our time. Nele, Julia, and Angelica always made sure to provide food, activity, and museum recommendations. The partnership with Humboldt is also a great program for stud...

I am lucky enough to have had some experience abroad before college and I knew that I really wanted some more. I wanted to go to an interesting place where I would be surrounded by people who grew up on a different continent and gain some sort of meaningful first-hand experience.

An international program while I was in college was always a priority for me, because I saw it as a way to broaden my horizons and challenge my perceptions while also allowing me to see some amazing parts of the world. I was also interested in a change of scenery and meeting new people from all over the country and the world.
