Biology Internships in United States

I had a great laboratory team who were always willing to explain (via Google Translate!) the different tests and experiments they conduct. This internship has greatly enhanced my understanding of the techniques used in clinical laboratories that contribute to the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of disease. I feel more empowered to be successful in my field as I was able to shadow important laboratory techniques in person, thus gaining a higher understanding of how they are carried out and their purpose(s).

This internship in Morocco was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, full of unexpected moments that ended up being the most fun. During the week, I worked in a medical laboratory, getting a firsthand look at how lab practices differ internationally. This experience shaped me both personally and professionally. It gave me a new level of independence, helped me build confidence in unfamiliar situations, and sharpened my ability to adapt—whether in a lab, in grad school, or just in life. Looking back, it wasn’t just about the research or the travel; it was about learning how to thrive in new environments and make the most of every experience, planned or not.
