CERN, a multidisciplinary organization, offers a limited number of places this year under our practical training program with a duration of 1 to 6 months, geared towards your particular field of study. This program is open to full-time undergraduate students, at least 18 years of age, who are in the technical and administrative fields. Part of CERN’s mission to conduct world-class research on fundamental physics is to train and educate future scientists and engineers. Every year, we offer educational and outreach programs for high school students and university students. Our professionals are very pleased to share their knowledge and expertise with students who are passionate and committed to their chosen fields. For this internship, you must have good knowledge of English and/or French. Your work at CERN must be an obligatory or recommended part of your studies, and you will return to your college or university after this internship. IOM plays a crucial role in facilitating safe and orderly migration, protecting the rights of migrants, and supporting efforts to harness the benefits of migration for both individuals and societies. Its work is guided by the principles of humanitarianism, respect for human rights, and the promotion of sustainable development. The IOM Internship Programme offers students the chance to familiarize themselves with IOM's operations, acquire valuable initial work experience, and develop knowledge across various migration-related fields. Interns receive on-the-job training, benefiting both themselves and the organization. Additionally, internships foster partnerships with academic institutions and universities. Annually, IOM hosts numerous interns across its global offices. Interns will be assigned tasks and responsibilities that match their academic and professional background; and they are supervised by a mentor or supervisor. This program lasts from two to six months in duration (preference is for interns who can commit to at least six months), with a maximum duration of nine months.
