Live out the last days of summer in the Golden State and Grand Canyon! We’ll begin our journey in the star-studded city of Los Angeles. Stroll the Walk of Fame in Hollywood and admire the city lights at sunset from Griffith Observatory. Hang out in Venice Beach and ride the ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier. In San Diego, hang ten as you learn to surf at one of the city’s most famous beaches and kayak through secret caves in La Jolla while looking out for sea lions. On our way to the Grand Canyon State of Arizona, we’ll make a pitstop in Nevada in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. Ride the High Roller ferris wheel and enjoy a delicious feast at an interactive dinner show! There’s no downtown in America quite like the Las Vegas Strip! The flashing lights and fountains complement the high energy of Vegas. No better way to end this road trip through some of the most famous places in America than at one of the seven natural wonders of the world: the Grand Canyon. See it for yourself and try to envision how the Colorado River created such a masterpiece over hundreds of thousands of years. Using Flagstaff as our home base, we’ll also travel to Page, Arizona to see hidden gems!

Explore your interests with a wide selection of enriching and engaging courses, and discover the best sights and activities in Los Angeles with your new friends. This high school summer program balances academic preparation, fun group excursions, and structured independence to help prepare teens for college and make new, lasting connections. Living and studying on the campus of UCLA, students will have access to incredible athletic facilities and be able to discover the collegiate energy of the Westwood Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. Participants can join us for 14, 21, or 32 days. Students in the 32-day program will enjoy a grand finale extension in Hawaii.

Take off on an epic 14-day adventure along the California coast, focusing on marine biology and conservation. Dive into the wonders of the Pacific Ocean as you explore tidepools, kayak amongst sea otters, and snorkel in the majestic kelp forests of the Channel Islands National Park. Experience the thrill of whale watching at the Farallon Islands and learn to catch a wave on northern California’s iconic surf breaks. Hike the breathtaking cliffs of Big Sur and interact with marine life at the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. Engage in conservation and science education programs along the coast, and learn about the care of injured and rehabilitation of marine mammals and wildlife. This journey doesn't just deepen your understanding of marine ecosystems but also builds essential skills in environmental stewardship, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the ocean and its conservation.
