Living with local families, you'll engage in Mandarin lessons, learn farming practices, and explore environmental issues, fostering deep connections and understanding of traditional Taiwanese life. Moving to Taipei, you will further hone your language skills through interactions with host families and immersive independent study projects spanning from culinary arts to calligraphy. The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) at I-Shou International School in Taiwan offers a solid academic foundation that connects learning with real-world applications. Students explore important ideas that apply across various subjects, helping them understand the global context. The curriculum covers sixteen key concepts and additional related concepts, making education relevant to their lives and the world around them. Students study eight subjects: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, The Arts, Design, and Physical and Health Education. This ensures a well-rounded education, aligned with both Taiwan's Ministry of Education and international standards. MYP projects like the Grade 8 Community Project and the Grade 10 Personal Project allow students to apply their knowledge in creative ways and reflect on their learning journey.

Our Mandarin Summer Camp is specially designed for children aged 7 to 13 who are eager to discover the beauty and richness of the Chinese language and culture. Whether your child is a beginner or already has some Mandarin skills, our camp offers engaging activities and personalized instruction to meet their learning needs and interests. The program includes excursions to scenic spots in Taiwan; immersion to the Chinese culture such as Chinese knotting, Dough Figurine, Kung fu, and many mire will all be arranged in order to help students to understand Chinese art and cultivate study interest. We have 2 scheduled classes, Session 1 is from 2024/7/1 to2024/7/19 and Session 2 is from 2024/7/22 to 2024/8/09. This is a 3-week Mandarin class for US$1,212. Tuition fee includes Mandarin course and cultural course material. Field trip tickets, bus and Accident insurance.
