The Immerse Film Studies Summer Program introduces students to the rich history, theory, and practice of cinema, while offering two distinct pathways. In Oxford, the focus is on academic insights, exploring film as a discipline through close study of genres, movements, and criticism, supported by small-group tutorials and 1:1 sessions. In London, the program takes a career-focused approach, combining workshops in screenwriting, directing, and editing with exclusive access to the city’s creative industries. Whichever pathway you choose, you’ll build critical and creative skills, work on your own film project with expert guidance, and experience life at a world-class academic or cultural hub. The program provides both the intellectual foundation and practical experience to prepare you for future study or a career in film, media, or the creative industries.

Study the technical and design processes of creating your capsule wardrobe for the summer. You'll learn to make garments such as skirts, blazers, jackets, dresses, loungewear, swimwear, and accessories—the possibilities are endless! You'll also learn to sew traditional jersey finishes and attach lace to stretch fabric. This program is perfect for teenagers who are curious about learning how to sew, design, and make their own clothes, use and alter patterns and want to know what it takes to be a designer. There will be a constant gaze on sustainability, creating a process that is as sustainable and zero-waste as possible. You will learn how to: • Assume the role of the designer and develop your ideas into a design • Work with fabrics donated by local designers within a 7-mile radius • Create mood boards/design development sheets and learn why designers use them • Pattern cut, sew, and construct your garment • Take your first steps into the fashion industry You will leave with: • Design development sheets • An outfit designed and made by yourself • A digital certificate of completion

Get ready for a summer like you never imagined on this European teen tour! You will visit some of Europe’s greatest cities, with charming little villages in between, in these countries: England, France, Switzerland, and Italy. Enjoy museums, cafés, theater, and dance clubs. Then, work off all those croissants and gelatos by getting active with whitewater rafting, skiing, snowboarding, and more. All departures on this itinerary are On Tour programs. They are specially designed for high schoolers completing 11th or 12th grades. By focusing on the needs of older teenagers, the activities on this trip are chosen with the independent nature and maturity of a young adult in mind. Our fantastic summer program leaders are experts at creating a tight-knit, inclusive family. Participants in this program can join us for 20 or 28 days.
