If you find that you and your host family aren’t a good fit once you’re settled in, we’ll find a new host family for you. You can spend up to two years living and working in the UK. As an au pair, you’re part of the family. Your host family will provide you with private accommodation and meals in their home. Because your rent and utilities are covered, you can spend your salary however you wish. If your trip ends and you’re not ready to go home, you may extend your trip with a host family in the Netherlands.

This 12-week Gap Year Semester Course is our most expansive and influential program. During the first six weeks, students travel to the UK and France, where they can explore art, architecture, food, culture, and much more. After this, they will travel to Tuscany and stay in Montepulciano, a beautiful hilltop town, for a two-week intensive Italian course. In the second six weeks, they will join other students to study on the Autumn Gap Year Course. They will travel across Italy, visiting Venice, Castelfranco, Bologna, Florence, Siena, and Rome, as well as taking day trips to San Gimignano, Verona, Naples, and Pompei. This program aims to give students the greatest experience of Italy and a better understanding of the "art world." It is an ambitious program that spread from the ancient world in Rome and Naples to the Renaissance in Florence and contemporary art in Venice. Students will learn about the works of Leonardo, appreciate Titian, and understand why Michelangelo is so significant. Students will also be introduced to dozens of other artists, read great poets from ancient and modern times, learn about rhetoric (Cicero), history, and literature, & appreciate architecture.

This intensive gap year course is for students aged 17 and older who would like to become doctors, nurses, or dentists, and who would like to study medicine and enter the medical profession. The course is primarily aimed at students who have graduated from and finished their secondary school or senior high school and have decided to take a gap year before applying to a medical school or university in the UK or abroad. The course runs for 6 to 10 weeks, comprising 6 weeks of medical studies. Participants may proceed with the optional two- or four-week, full-time internship that involves shadowing doctors at a clinic or hospital. The course covers all the necessary information to feel confident about applying to a top medical university. It gives an overview of the medical syllabus covered at the University – with topics from Pathology, Anatomy, Immunity, Cardiology, and Genetics. It also includes hands-on practical workshops, such as suturing techniques and patient or doctor interaction.

The Oxford Gap Year is the perfect way to prepare for the independent mode of study required at college. It gives the opportunity to pursue courses of interest in depth and at a comfortable pace, freely exploring topics that arouse curiosity. The program takes place in Oxford, England's oldest university city, which makes for an ideal setting for students to broaden their academic knowledge while developing personally. This program is not affiliated with the university. The prestigious Oxford Gap Year is an excellent study opportunity for US and international participants comprising: - High school graduates during their gap year - High school juniors or seniors taking a semester overseas - College students taking an overseas study semester or year - Mature students taking the "time out" to undertake an academic or research project Highly regarded for the quality of its teaching and student-centered approach, the program provides individualized and inspiring study courses. Basic to Brilliant Cooking Course (2 Weeks) Join us at The Avenue Cookery School in London for our immersive two-week Basic to Brilliant Cooking Course, designed to transform your kitchen skills and confidence In Week One, you’ll master essential techniques — from knife skills and kitchen hygiene to menu planning and fundamental recipes. Each day begins with a chef-led demonstration, followed by hands-on cooking in pairs. Morning “Duty Teams” prepare fresh bread, cakes, and lemonade for our elevenses break, keeping energy and spirits high! After beginning your journey in Ireland for 8 weeks, you’ll head across the continent to explore Amsterdam, Berlin, Lyon, and finally Goult in Provence. Each stop brings its own unique flavor, giving you the ultimate European gap year experience. Where? Ireland: Belfast, Derry, North Coast, Dublin, Donegal UK & Europe: Amsterdam, Berlin, Lyon, Provence When? Start dates in February and September. The program has a set starting price of £10,000 for 8 weeks in Ireland, this includes living and working in Portrush with trips to Belfast, Derry and Donegal. The full 11-week program costs £18,000 and includes trips to Amsterdam, Berlin and Lyon and finishes with living in a medical French village in Provence. Every student has access to a £1,500 scholarship and there are payment plans available to suit the needs of each family.
