1. Wildlife Expedition in Costa Rica—60 Reviews, 9.77 Rating
“My time at Jalova was incredible. I found an place with a perfect mix of wildlife, education and science for myself here. The staff members are extremely passionate and it reflects to all other volunteers in base which makes the experience in Jalova unique. I met a lot of like-minded people and made friends for life. Living conditions in base can be hard and connections with the outside world are limited. This was part of its charm however. You will experience so many extraordinary things here." 2. Volunteer with Novice Buddhist Monks in Laos—94 Reviews, 9.7 Rating
“Apart from being touched by the people of Laos and the people I was given the chance to teach. I am deeply impressed with the young volunteers who participated in this programme. They know what they want to do with their lives and they do not waste time getting closer to their dreams. They are friendly and they work hard and play hard which I think is good. It is good to know that there are young people out there who care for other people and use their time for them. Same goes for the elder volunteers. They could be just relaxing at home but they chose the challenge to do something they have never done before. I met wonderful people, both volunteers and Lao people alike, they are wonderful people.” Read more GVI reviews of this program here.

4. High School Volunteer and Adventure in Nepal—22 Reviews, 10.0 Rating
“When we arrived in Nepal I was exposed to a completely foreign culture and way of life. One of the most memorable moments was working at the Tibetan school and getting the chance to look at life in their eyes. Despite the common hardships that these children and their countries have encountered, they are some of the most radiant and driven kids that I’ve met. The chance to play games and interact with them was one that I’d never take back. The look on the children’s faces when they saw the change in their hostel was incredible in more ways than one. Though the trek was quite difficult, it was amazing to witness the rural villages and of course the beautiful Annapurnas. In all, I think that this trip was the perfect combination of getting to experience Nepal’s culture, the things they value most and getting to know the group of phenomenal people. My 2 weeks in Nepal were full of some of the most enjoyable and meaningful moments in my life.” Read more GVI reviews of this program here.
