Discover the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands on a photography adventure focused on wildlife, landscapes, and conservation. You'll spend time in ancient woodlands, upland moors, and remote glens, photographing native species such as red deer, mountain hares, red squirrels, and crested tits. There's also the possibility of encountering Ptarmigan at higher altitudes. Led by wildlife photographer Will Hall, the trip is designed to support photographers of all levels. You'll receive guidance on camera technique, fieldcraft, and ethical wildlife photography, with opportunities to improve both your wildlife and landscape photography. Optional astrophotography sessions will also be available, conditions permitting. The workshop includes access to a specialist wildlife photography hide, and we place strong emphasis on learning about local conservation efforts. It’s a chance to build your skills in the field while gaining a deeper understanding of Scotland’s ecosystems and species.

The group was fun to be with

My expectations for the program were absolutely met; for my first wildlife trip it was interesting and exciting. The highlights included Cairngorm Mountain, the red squirrels, and the fact that the group was fun to be with. Will is an exceptional guide and was also able to teach me some tricks I did not know before, and I actually enjoy bird photography now. I would recommend Penda, yes. My overall thoughts are that I'd like to thank Penda and especially Amy and Will for making this trip easy and enjoyable.
